My name is Tanner Erickson and I am​ a bassist, producer, and writer based in Redding, CA. I have played bass for over a decade in various contexts, but my heart is for the church.

 

I currently play bass for Bethel Church in Redding and I travel with Bethel Music. I get to share the stage and travel with some of the best worship leaders, songwriters, and musicians in the church today.

I have a passion for excellence, experience, and intimacy with the Lord in worship and I set up this site to share the knowledge, lessons, and experiences that I have had playing bass with you!

 

A few areas I cover are: 

• Crafting excellent bass tone

• Knowing and understanding the number system/adaptation on the fly

• Learning to memorize quickly/handling pressure

• Creating and flowing in spontaneous moments

• Being an MD for a set

I am also a session musician and would love to help you with your song or record! I play for various streaming services at Bethel as well as various Bethel Music reeleases and other projects.

My heart is for the church, as I mentioned, and I love to meet and pour into bassists and teams; helping to ignite passion, excellence, and hope.

First and foremost, Jesus is the center. I love to share my story and talk about issues of the heart that can arise when you are in the center of your dreams or miles away from them. I have a passion for realizing self-worth and identity.
